rarely are there lift queues.

terrain and unlimited off piste opportunities. We might! even
let you in on our own secrets like Disneyland 1650 or Dou Des
Lanches above La Tania. For those white out days, there is lots
of tree cover to play in.
Freestylers Courchevel has improved its park offering other the
last few years, now with dedicated shapers it is regularly maintained.
Features half-pipe, hip, jump, table tops and rails. Also worth
checking out verdon, biolley and jardin alpin areas which are
full of natural hits and rollers.
Courchevel does have a reputation of being expensive; however
by staying with us you get to sample this superb resort with out
having to pay the price. We can tell you the bars / restaurants
to visit and those to avoid. It is actually no more expensive
than any other French or European resorts, just remember to avoid
those mountain restaurants.
Quotes from World Snowboard Guide:
Good resort with excellent terrain for all. This area offers
a lot of snow and a good uplift system taking you to stupid amounts
of ridable slopes. Stacks of trees and miles of hardcore backcountry.
Plenty of space to avoid the crowds.
Beginners - have big areas to learn the basics.
Freeriders - will be happy as there
are loads of cracking intermediate pistes.
Freestylers - a good place to hang out
is the big snow-park and half pipe.
Carvers - will be in heaven, truly one
of the best carving resorts.
Rating 9 out of 10. On the slopes excellent, off the slopes
good.
Courchevel is made up of five centres Le Praz 1300, 1550, 1650,
1850 and La Tania, named after there heights in metres. They are
all linked by piste, vast lift network and a free bus service
which runs from early morning to late at night. All of them have
plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.

lifts leave here, ride to these from Chalet Martel, one goes into

of Pleisures THE BAR, cheapest drinks in

the main area, is a resort in its own right, the place we head
on our days off and after Pleisure bar shuts. about of the Bubble,
Rockys and Space bar open til 4am.
1850 is the main centre of the resort, where the majority of lifts
depart and pistes meet. Has indoor centre with shops, restaurants,
amusements, bowling, skating and fully fitted gym.
La Tania is made up of small residences and wooden chalets lining
the piste that meanders through the forest. It has a pedestrianised
centre of shops, bars and restaurants facing the slopes. Including
the British owned Ski Lodge, good value for a lunch time stop.
